The French state actively subsidizes thermal renovations aimed at replacing energy-inefficient single glazing with high-performance joinery.
1. MaPrimeRénov’
- Available for principal residences over 15 years old.
- Grant amounts scale according to household income brackets (Bleu, Jaune, Violet).
- Requires installation by an RGE (Reconnu Garant de l’Environnement) certified artisan.
2. CEE Energy Savings Certificates (Primes Énergie)
- Paid directly by energy suppliers (EDF, Total, retail brands).
- Cumulative with MaPrimeRénov’ for eligible thermal upgrade projects.
3. Reduced VAT (TVA à 5,5%)
- Applies directly on both joinery materials and professional labor on your contractor’s invoice.
4. Éco-Prêt à Taux Zéro (Eco-PTZ)
- Interest-free loan up to €30,000 for bundled home energy renovation packages, repayable over up to 15 to 20 years.
